- Spreading: East Panama southward over northwest Colombia in the Magdalena valley and east the Ands of east Colombia and Venezuela over Ekuador and Peru as well as Guyana, Surinam, French Guayana, Trinidad and Brazil until Bolivia, Paraguay and north Argentina
- Habitat: Rain forests, high and close secondary vegetation, open forests as well as sump and Savanna with palm and tree existence in the tropical zone in 500 m height, locally also until 1500 m height
- Way of life: usually in pairs, in small family federations or in groups up to 20 birds was seen
- Nutrition: ripe and unripe fruits, Mango fruits, Paránuts or different Palmnuts, berries, blooms, probably also insects and their larvs
